This popular garden Rosemary boasts exceptionally vivid blue flower spikes and highly aromatic pale green needle-like leaves. Like most herbs it has culinary and medicinal uses, but with its stately good looks it’s perfect in flowerbeds as a lovely hedge and fancy topiary. The dark blue flowers attract honeybees, butterflies, and birds, yet is deer resistant. This delicious herb has a lemony tang with a hint of pine flavor and scent and pairs well with chicken, fish, lamb, rice, and herbed butters.

These plants can grow 4’ to 8’ tall and spread up to 4’ wide if left unchecked. It prefers a sheltered spot such as on the south or southwest side of a wall or foundation. Rosemary prefers well-draine soil and can tolerate partial shade but flavor is best if planted in full sun. As with all varieties of Rosemary, it performs very well in pots and may be brought indoors for winter use.
