About us
Your Neighborhood Garden Centers Since 1957
For nearly 70 years, Clovers Garden has helped Chicagoland gardeners grow with confidence. What began as a family tradition is today a group of friendly, seasonal garden centers across the Chicago area — staffed by people who love plants as much as you do.
Our story started in 1957, when Robert Kuehnle, Sr. began selling vegetable and flower plants at his neighborhood grocery store on Chicago's South Side. He raised those plants himself on his Michigan farm and pledged to offer only the healthiest, highest-quality plants — backed by honest advice and genuine service. Customers noticed, and they kept coming back.
That promise still guides us. Clovers Garden remains family-owned and operated by James Kuehnle and family, now into the third generation. At each of our Chicago-area locations you'll find premium, locally tended plants, unique and hard-to-find varieties, and a team that's always happy to help you choose the right plant for the right spot.
