About us
Your Neighborhood Garden Centers Since 1957
For nearly 70 years, Clovers Garden has been helping families across Chicagoland create beautiful gardens and lasting memories. What began as one family's passion for growing exceptional plants has blossomed into welcoming seasonal garden centers where neighbors find inspiration, trusted advice, and plants they'll be proud to grow.
Our story began in 1957, when Robert Kuehnle Sr. started selling vegetable and flower plants outside his neighborhood grocery store on Chicago's South Side. He raised the plants on his Michigan farm with one simple belief: offer healthy, vigorous plants and treat every customer like a neighbor. That commitment earned the trust of generations of gardeners—and it continues to guide everything we do.
Today, Clovers Garden is proudly family-owned and operated by the third generation of the Kuehnle family. At every Chicagoland location, you'll discover carefully selected flowers, vegetables, herbs, perennials, hanging baskets, and unique varieties, along with friendly experts who are here to help you grow with confidence. Whether you're planting your very first flower, harvesting vegetables with your family, or creating the garden you've always imagined, we're honored to be part of your journey.
